About Cora Halstead
Cora Halstead is a nurse, educator, author, and survivor whose work explores the deeply human side of healthcare and the quieter truths of resilience. With years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse — including time on the road as a traveling nurse — she has cared for patients and families during some of the most fragile and meaningful moments of their lives.
Her writing reflects the moments most people never see — grief, strength, fear, compassion, and the hard-won wisdom that comes from years at the bedside and from her own story of surviving and healing. Across two ongoing series and several standalone books, Cora writes honestly about nursing, motherhood, narcissistic abuse, recovery, and the long road to choosing truth.
In addition to her narrative nonfiction and memoir work, Cora is developing practical resources for nursing students and new graduates — clinical companions, survival guides, and educational tools designed to support the next generation of nurses through the realities of the profession.
Cora lives in North Carolina, where she continues to write, teach, and care for patients. All of her books are available on Amazon.
